“Rising”. Acrylic paint on canvas. 16″ x 20″.

This intuitive painting was a struggle that went through several iterations without a clear direction of theme, composition or color. In this sense the picture was “found” as it was painted. The ghostly figurative shapes suggest the coming resurrection. The predominate yellow shape hints at the shining, glorious body promised to believers. All of this is my own interpretation added after the fact.
